Rick Schwartz defended in 1999 the generic domain goofoff.com (lazy). Lilly's Indianapolis manufacturing company complained to the Registrar of Schwartz, Network Solutions , that was violating their trademark used Goof Off to one of his paint-related products.
Network Solutions gave him 37 days to Rick to put a claim or else block the domain until the dispute is resolved. So Rick filed a lawsuit in the courts of Palm Beach, led by his friend and lawyer Howard Neu , claiming that Lilly was interfering with your online business for that using the generic domain.
Schwartz won the case and Lilly also had to pay legal costs which had to incur.
