NEW YORK -- Register.com, one of the foremost providers of global domain name registration, email, web site design and other web hosting services, announced an agreement to join NameMedia’s Domain Listing Service (DLS). When the terms of the deal are in place, Register.com’s customers will be linked up with access to more than two million domain names currently offered for sale through AfternicDLS.com's listing service.
Similar to the MLS network for physical real estate, the DLS network provides a source of liquidity for digital real estate--in this case, currently registered names that are put up for purchase by the owner. By listing domains on DLS, domain owners expose their properties to the largest source of potential buyers through a global distribution network, now including Register.com.
